one of a kind
This painting recalls a vivid memory of growing up on the shore of one of Lake Ontario was the large "hills" of ice that would form every winter along the lake shore. Playing with his friends on them (and sometimes in them) felt to Koch like he had been transported to a surreal other world of glistening whiteness. It was probably dangerous but luckily he and his friends survived.
